Autumn and Winter Weddings
Some clients want to work with the flowers that are in season to help with the budgeting of the wedding. Learn what is in season for the Autumn and Winter; everything from flowers, branches, greens, containers, linens and decor. Learn how to put all of these seasonal elements together to create an exciting event.
Class fee of $150 and flower fee $100. Mondays: October 12th and 19th from 6pm - 9pm.
Christmas Entertaining
Turn your home into a winter wonderland. We will take you on a tour of the New York Flower Market which will be decked out for the holiday season. See all of the holiday ornaments, decorations, ribbons, Christmas greens and branches. Also, we will look at the different trends in color and style so that you can find the look that is right for your home. Tour from: 10am – 12:30pm. (Lunch from 12:30pm – 1:30pm). After lunch we will go back to class to make a Christmas Wreath and a holiday arrangement. Class fee of $125.
Saturday: December 5th from 1:30pm – 5pm.
Ikebana I (New Workshop!)
Translated as "living plant material" ikebana is an art that combines Buddhism and Japanese belief in the sacred nature of plants. Each form of arrangements represents an outlook on the universe. Learn the technique and work with beautiful containers and flowers. Class fee of $100 and flower fee of $50.
Thursdays: October 15th and 22nd from 6pm - 9pm.

A continuation of our first class. Class fee of $100 and flower fee of $100.

European Floral Design (New Workshop!)
Take a tour of The New York Flower Market with George Vallo to see and discuss the differences in flowers imported from such countries as England, Holland, France, South America and Israel. Get a chance to speak with the wholesalers who will explain and answer questions about the importing business. We will have a lunch break and then go back to class where we will discuss the differences in floral design from different countries by showing examples and make an arrangement in the style of one of the countries. Class fee $125 including materials.
Saturday: July 25th form 1:30pm - 5:30pm.
Theme Events (New Workshop!)
Birthday parties, Bar-Mitzvahs, special product events. In the flower business, there are many occasions where your choice of flowers, linens, props and décor are determined by the specific client or company you are working with. *Stephen Geldman will lead you in a class on how a floral designer uses the resources at his disposal to come up with a unique event that represents the specific needs of the client.
Class fee of $100 materials included. Tuesday: October 5th from 6pm - 9pm.
A Natural Touch
Learn the basics of creating striking, original arrangements with little effort. *James Francois-Pijuan will teach you to create beautiful arrangements which incorporate natural elements, creating a unique piece of art that both enlivens and calms the space around it. Class fee of $125 includes materials.

Autumn Arrangements With Vegetables and Gourds
We will take a tour of The Farmers Market on 14th Street and Union Square to see the unusual and interesting vegetables and gourds of the Fall. You can purchase the items you want to use in making an arrangement when we get back to the studio after a lunch break. You will learn how to use vegetables and shapes in arrangements. Class fee of $75 includes container for arrangement.
Saturday: October 24th 10am – 4pm.
Corporate Floral Design
There are very special concerns for corporate floral design. You will learn which flowers will last longer, what containers to use and what is the right look for the space you are designing for. We will make one centerpiece in class. Class fee of $125 includes materials.

Thanksgiving Class
This class will include a morning tour of the New York Flower Market, an exciting time to see the market filled with fall flowers, leaves, pumpkins, gourds and berries. *Tour from 10:30am. - 12:30pm. ( lunch from 12:30pm - 1:30pm.) Then we will go back to the studio to create a beautiful Thanksgiving centerpiece from *1:30pm - 5pm. Class fee of $125 including materials. *Saturday: November 21st
Contemporary Floral Design
Floral design is always changing. Learn the latest contemporary designs that are used now and the techniques you need to create them. We will make 2 designs in class. Class fee of $125.
Tuesday: November 10th from 6pm - 9pm.
The New York Gift Building Winter Sample Sale
Once a year the New York Gift Building, www.7wnewyork.com which is located at 7 west 34th Street, has showrooms of many famous tabletop and gift ware suppliers and holds a winter sample sale. 90% of the showrooms sell their items at ½ the wholesale price. This is a great time to buy beautiful Christmas decorations, linens, vases and many items. We did this class last year and it was a huge success. Students went home with many shopping bags filled with goodies. Class fee of $75.
